include closely tracking local media coverage; planning, organizing and staffing press events; drafting press releases, memos and talking points; developing creative and engaging social media videos about in-state events; filming and editing videos; and working closely with constituents, community stakeholders and other members of the Senator’s Connecticut and DC press and legislative teams.The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently under tight deadlines, is self-motivated and detail-oriented, and can deliver high-quality communications across both print and visual mediums. Competitive candidates should have at least two years of press and/or political communications experience, as well as a bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, or a closely related field.
