Description:
U.S. Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) seeks a Deputy Scheduler / Assistant to the Chief of Staff to join the Washington, D.C. team. This position will work closely with the Scheduler, the Chief of Staff, and senior management across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to managing incoming scheduling requests, assisting the Director of Scheduling with maintaining the Senator’s calendar, organizing meetings, event requests, schedule meetings and maintaining the calendar for Chief of Staff. This will require excellent communication and careful tracking of expenses. Prior experience scheduling for an elected official is preferred.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and be able to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks in a high pressure/fast paced environment. Previous Hill scheduling experience is preferred. Washington State ties are a plus. The salary for this position is $68,000 annually.
