Description:
Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.) seeks a highly organized, positive, and dependable individual to serve as Special Assistant in his Wilmington, Delaware office. This is a key support role with
Responsibilities:
across several areas: serving as the Senator’s in-state driver and body person; supporting the Delaware scheduler with executive operations, including assembling the Senator’s daily briefing book, responding to meeting requests and invitations, coordinating scheduling logistics, and assisting with special events and projects. The position requires availability for extended and occasionally unpredictable hours, including nights, weekends, and involves staffing the Senator at official events throughout all three counties. The ideal candidate is discreet, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must have an excellent driving record and access to a reliable vehicle, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. A demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work collaboratively across teams is essential. The starting salary for this position is $60,000.
